Some of the best days start with a phone call you weren’t expecting. Ripper Paper needed an advertising photographer urgently to create images for a magazine article and they needed them the very next day.. Our week was already full to the brim, but there are some calls you just make happen. We laughed our way through that whole conversation and hung up every bit as excited about the shoot as they were.
Ripper Paper are an Adelaide family business making Aussie made dunny paper, fair dinkum! Everything about the brand is warm, honest and just a little bit cheeky, which turned out to be exactly how the whole day felt.
The location was sorted for us and it was a cracker, a beautifully renovated old home with the most stunning bathrooms and living spaces you could ask for. Every room styled completely differently, so we could work our way through the house building a whole range of product images with the rolls sitting in places they would normally, and also not so normally!
It really did feel like a day out with old friends. So many laughs, everyone mucking in together and enjoying themselves, and a suite of images at the end of it that the whole team absolutely loved. Such a beautiful thing.
